Derby Delight For Reds
The weekend began at Anfield as Liverpool moved five points clear with a 2-1 over Everton in a lunchtime derby in the torrential rain. The Reds opened the scoring on 10 minutes as Ryan Gravenberch connected to a Mohamed Salah pass and the lead doubled on the half hour as Gravenberch turned provider to setup Hugo Ekitike who slotted in for 2-0. The Blues battled to cut the deficit and it paid off in the 58th minute as Idrissa Gueye made it 2-1 with a powerful drive but the comeback ended there as the hosts held on to secure a fifth win out of five.
Seagulls Held By Spurs
The afternoon kick-offs began with Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur sharing the points in a 2-2 draw at the AMEX Stadium. The opening goal came with eight minutes played as Yankuba Minteh struck and the lead became 2-0 on the half-hour mark as Yasin Ayari fired in from distance. The visitors cut the gap just before the interval through Richarlison (43) and were gifted the draw with eight minutes to go as an own goal from Jan Paul van Hecke made it 2-2 and ensured a share of the points.
Forest Held By Clarets
A second draw of the afternoon came at Turf Moor as Burnley and Nottingham Forest shared the points in a 1-1 draw. A rapid start from the visitors saw Neco Williams fire them ahead inside 2 minutes but they were pegged back by 20th minute leveller from Jaidon Anthony for 1-1 which is how the game ended.
Eagles Soar Past Hammers
West Ham United's mixed start to the season continued in a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at London Stadium. The Eagles opened the scoring in the 37th minute as Jean-Philippe Mateta headed in for 1-0 but they were pegged back on 49 minutes as Jarrod Bowen headed into level at 1-1. The winning goal for the visitors came on 68 minutes as Tyrick Mitchell fired them ahead with a superb volley which secured the win.
Leeds Extend Wolves Woes
Wolverhampton Wanderers are still to score a point after they lost out 3-1 to Leeds United at Molineux. The hosts struck first with a superb effort from Ladislav Krejci inside eight minutes but were pegged back by Dominic Calvert-Lewin on 31 minutes. Leeds completed the comeback with a stellar free-kick from Anton Stach (39) before Noah Okafor extended the lead to 3-1 just before half-time. The second half saw both sides have chances but neither added to their tally as Leeds held on for the win.
Fiery Evening As United Edge Chelsea
A fiery Saturday evening clash at Old Trafford saw Manchester United claim a 2-1 win over Chelsea where both sides played the second half with ten men. The visitors suffered an early blow as Robert Sanchez was sent off inside five minutes and United took advantage with Bruno Fernandes tapping in for 1-0 on 14 minutes before Casemiro doubled the lead on 37 minutes.
However, Casemiro's evening ended early as he was sent off just before half-time for a second booking. The second half was a quieter affair with Chelsea pulling a goal back in the 80th minute through Trevoh Chalobah for 2-1 which is how it ended.
Cottagers Defeat Bees
Fulham sealed their second win of the season with a comfortable 3-1 win over Brentford at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening. The Bees opened the scoring in the 20th minute as Mikkel Damsgard capitalised on an error to make it 1-0. The hosts levelled on 38 minutes through Alex Iwobi before he setup Harry Wilson to make it 2-1 into the halftime interval. The lead increased to 3-1 within five minutes of the restart as Ethan Pinnock deflected into his own net to wrap up the win for the Cottagers.

Super Sunday began with a 0-0 draw between Bournemouth and Newcastle United at the Vitality Stadium with the best chance of the afternoon coming late on as Justin Kluivert was denied by Nick Pope from a free-kick.
Villa Held By Black Cats
Sunderland and Aston Villa shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light. The first half saw neither side able to score but saw the hosts suffer a blow with the sending off of Reinaldo Mandava in the 33rd minute. Villa took until the 67th minute to make their man advantage pay off as Matty Cash put them 1-0 ahead. Their joy lasted just eight minutes as Wilson Isidor levelled for the hosts and 1-1 is how it ended.

The final clash of the weekend saw Arsenal leave it late to secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium. The visitors made a rapid start with Erling Haaland putting them 1-0 ahead inside nine minutes and the advantage looked to be enough to secure the win but deep into added time, Gabriel Martinelli levelled for the hosts to send the Emirates Stadium crowd wild.
